Time for a New Starwars game.
It seems that Battlefront III is not coming any time soon by EA. They are planning to produce the next Battlefield game instead according to these leaks. If it becomes true, so be it then.

let’s be honest, Star Wars is one of the largest franchises in the world and with Disney / Lucas continuing to produce content anyone can see that the development of Star Wars video games isn’t going to come to an end.
what this means is that the next iteration of “Battlefront-like” SW titles just won’t come from EA / DICE, and that’s good news because BF 2 proved that this studio really doesn’t have the experience or creative logic to make a game like this.
The took BF 2015 and went 10 steps backwards with BF 2 and only made things worse by failing to listen to the community.
The only thing EA / DICE cared about was making visual gameplay. Battlefield 2042 is proving that as the gameplay consistency just isn’t there; it feels like the game behaves erratically to the point where you can’t predict the gameplay.
hopefully the next title coming from Ubi / Massive will bring a much needed focus on gameplay value and from there maybe we can get back on track with SW games.
Of course it's good news, because it's for the best of everyone who is a fan of Star Wars in general to have a good Battlefront game made by a serious and ambitious company who actually cares about the fans. I hope it will be the case for the future, I seriously hope with all my heart...
