I already know they didn’t hack. They don’t have the computer knowledge on how to hack, nor do I, honestly. I don’t think they even know how to download a file, if that is what it would take to do it. In fact, they often complain to me about people who are cheating… like seeing people change the character they’re using while standing in front of them, or flying (while not being a character that is capable). Killing them in a couple shots from long ways across the map with a gun that is not accurate enough to do that…. Etc.
We have no desire to cheat. I know my boys well. I am 100% confident that they have not cheated either.
As anyone here for the past few years can tell you - it is extraordinarily difficult to get banned for cheating. It's a manual process that involves review and if you were banned you were cheating.
Obviously, it is not just that simple. I don’t care what the process is or was. It was wrong in our situation. I would play the game somewhat often with my boys, and I can with confidence say they were not cheating either. They don’t know how to cheat. I don’t know how to cheat either, and have no desire to do it.
I know some people have a hard time believing it from what I read (especially from EA affiliates), but EA is not infallible. I don’t care what programs they might use to help them find cheaters… fact is, it is all manmade, which means there is bound to be errors. In our case, they certainly made a mistake. It would be nice to hear from someone who can put their big person pants on, and actually realize that it is possible for them to have made a mistake.
