"The reasonable conclusion is that these benefits would be available to anyone playing with the disc in that box. No mention is made that these bonuses come in the form of crates. you have to input a code to get the bonus content. OK, no problem, I have this xbox as my home console, so my two sons and I will all get to use the bonuses. WRONG! Only the account signed in when the code is redeemed gets the bonuses. The insert card with the code makes no mention of crates nor does it, or the box, make any mention that the bonus content is limited to a specific account"
HI bud,
Before spouting legalities, where did they state that "all accounts" get access to the elite edition? you stated yourself "The reasonable conclusion is that these benefits would be available to anyone playing with the disc in that box"
I have marked the words for you how you just defeated your own argument, in order for them to "mislead" you would be to say "it is for all accounts" as it is pretty logical that you get it for 1 Account, if I play on origin on an account and use codes for it however i cannot use it on another account, same goes for Xbox, you got the bonus' in code form, thus it is only activated to the activating account.
It is a form of "license key" and they usually are for one person only.
Here is what is advertised on a site that will be taken from the source;

- 8 years agoThe content should be unlocked for everybody on that console. I'm dealing with the same thing right now. Microsoft said EA Games opted out of sharing the content. I pre-ordered and paid $80 for my game. Game the disc is selling for :35 right now plus two $20 unlocks that $75 I shouldn't have to pay extra $20 to have the content unlocked on my console I already paid it. But I bought plants versus zombies and put the code in the content was unlocked for every user on the console.
- 8 years agoMight be a difference in thinking between PC and console players but as a console player, I would expect that any "upgrade" benefits for buying a special edition would follow the disc and be available to anyone on the console. Might not even be PC vs. console thinking but more of physical media vs. download media. Physical media has been traditionally linked to "for all" where download media typically is linked to "individual accounts". XBox did a solid when they allowed the "family" accounts access to all localized media, I can see where the loot crates would be aggravating in this scenario.

I'm in the same boat. Multiple kids who want to play but I only bought one Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition because I expected the bonus content to work like it did on the last Battlefront game. The fact that there isn't anything on the game disk packaging stating otherwise makes this situation sound like bait & switch/false advertising unless EA does something significant to right this wrong, they've probably seen the last of my business.
