When on the game home screen, I select play multi or campaign or anything to actually play...screen goes dim and I get the:
Wait a full minute and try again. (0x080040900)
Or restart by holding down button.

Fixed it. I am an absolute *. SWBF2 is the only game i play. Turns out my gold live membership expired. Two months I didn't notice. I just assumed it was a SWBF2 problem. Oh well. Laugh at me or with me. Lol.

EA Staff (Retired)Studio is aware that the game has been crashing for many players after the recent update and we're planning to release a hotfix soon. In this situation, I would recommend to wait for more information about this.

Thank you for letting me know! If it helps or just fyi, other players can log in and play on my xbox, swbf2, just not my guy . I can play scenarios. Not multi .

I'm sorry for the long response time. Unfortunately, I have tried all of the known tricks or fixes. The RESET the Xbox one didn't even work. In baffled.
Just a recap, I've done the 'hold the power button,' the 'un-install /reinstall ' and the'hard reset or reset Xbox.'
Everytime I click galactic assault or HvV , screen dims 30%, thinks for 10 or so seconds, and error code 0x80040900 pops up.
In the meantime, I purchased NHL 2019 to fill my swbf2 void. Well done boys! Well done!

Hi there. I have been getting the same problem and have been looking for answers to fixing it... was it mentioned SWB2 will be doing a hot fix ? If so does anybody know when.

I was told the same thing about a month ago. Then EA quit responding. Ill definitely let you know if I or we ever figure it out. Good luck!
Still no luck. Swbf2 shows error code and returns to home screen when attempting multiplayer made.
I'm assuming this thread was marked solved. If I don't get a response, Ill know that no ones seeing these messages.
