Throwing in comments like "It's illegal" is their get out clause here. Whats illegal about it? The online aspect? Well then why can they access other online games, including many other EA titles. What is the difference between playing Battlefront 2 online and playing Plants vs Zombies online? Both games are shooting each other up, both are EA titles. One allows my son online, the other doesn't.
Very frustrating and it would appear i'm far from alone in having this issue. Today was my sons birthday and i've spent hours trying to resolve this issue for him, being in lockdown he wanted to play online with his friends, they can all play online but he can't. My guess is that they aren't tethered to a Family account the way he is. By that, I mean that he is in the Family group. He has his own Xbox live account which is seperate from mine, he has no age restrictions placed on his microsoft settings - so why are EA not allowing him online in Battlefront 2, but will allow it for other similar games. Clearly legality can't be the issue here.
