After those movies it has been downhill all the way. I boycotted prequels, didn't go to movies because Lucas made them so badly, Anakin boy was bad and Anakin killing innocent childred, that idea was very bad, why Anakin didn't turn kids to the dark side instead, stupid decisions from Lucas, very stupid, Vader wasn't mad killer in first trilogy. Then watched sequel movies in theatre, they were quite bad also, no star wars romance in these new movies, Mary Sue issues and so on, director Johnson cutting good parts away, badness all around.
Honestly, Luke had some Mary Sue issues, too. He becomes a Jedi in what? Like a year? He immediately shows great skill in the Force four hours after he meets Obi-Wan. He shoots a missile into a tiny reactor vent without a targeting computer. Rey isn’t great with character development, either, but Luke is a lot worse.

For me the rest the the Star Wars has been varying levels of Meh. While not a movie by far my favorite Star Wars sense RotJ has been The Mandalorian.
