Fighter progression is stuck at 1

Fighter progression is stuck at 1. I played for 2hrs, won multiple games only as Xwing and otherstarfighers - zero progression, still only one card slot, While doing the same as an interceptor class ...

It's based on how many cards you got. More cards = Higher rank. Enough fighter cards and you'll have 3 card slots. Try crafting more cards for the fighter.

It is a very weird system and it's not communicated properly so it's easy to miss.

    so the slots for the cards will be locked until I will craft more cards?

        This system is REALLY BADLY EXPLAINED!!! 

        I've been playing for hours without seeing the pattern. 

        I was thinking it was due to server lag.
