    @DarthDorfis

    This is because the most recent drivers, 388.43 include Battlefront 2 specific changes, including an SLI profile.

    If your hardware/OS combination is compatible with the 388.43 drivers then downloading that setup and performing a clean install of those drivers is advised.

    Thanks.

    I dont understand, I have the 388.31 driver, yet it is still giving me an error. Please see above post.

  • @EA_Barry, I totally understand "advisable" driver updates but that isn't what is going on here. The game is "forcing" a driver update to even launch the game.

    Forcing specific driver builds on your player-base AFTER the game has launched is ridiculous IMO. I was running 385 drivers just fine. 388 drivers are also working fine on my system but others may not have the same results.

    I really think the EA/DICE team should reconsider forcing driver updates on their PC players; good intentions and all, some driver packages just don't work well for certain configurations.

    And at the very least, forcing a specific targeted driver build should be listed in the minimum requirements page to run this game.

    I'm actually shocked this hasn't made it on reddit yet...

    Downloaded today's v388.43 Nvidia update. It did NOT fix the crashing issue. My hardware/OS combo is compatible. It was a clean install. Crashing has been occurring since I installed this game. I used to be able to play AT LEAST arcade and campaign singleplayer modes, as well as space battles in multiplayer. But that was on Wednesday. Thursday, something happened and now the game crashes when just launching the game.

    today i load it up and it crashes on launch.

    can i get a refund?

    this sucks.

    I have the same problem and it's even more frustrating since I don't have a Geforce card, I actually have an Nvidia Quadro and it worked perfectly before the last game update. I also don't understand why EA forces to use an specific GPU and driver.
