The game isn't launching. I have about 20 hours of gameplay, and last played around 3 days ago. Whenever I hit play in origin, it takes me to the initial loading screen of the game, and it freezes and crashes to the desktop. Sometimes it makes my monitor lose connection and eventually turn itself off due to no connection. I'm connected using a displayport cable.
I've tried repairing the game files in origin, deleting certain game files and repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, uninstalling and reinstalling origin. I'm completely out of ideas.
*Edit: Just looked at my recent windows updates and found one labeled "KB4056892" installed 3 days ago on 1/4/2018, just in case this might be the problem.

Try shuting down all of startup programs and then restard your PC. To do that type in start: msconfig/services/hide all microsoft services/disable all/apply/ok then it will probably ask you if u want to restart your PC if it doesnt by any chance then restart it yourself. I hope that helps 🙂 Give me XP boost if it helped you :D

Have you tried to disable origin client service and origin web helper service in windows services?

Mike, I just tried that and it worked for the most part. I was able to load into the game this time, but I'm still unable to change tabs without it crashing like it has been.

I've still the same problem, after disable origin services the game not lauching. I think this is a problem with some recent windows fixes.

I have the same problem. I can not play the game since mid December and instead of having the ability to contact EA support for a 100 dollar game, we have to diagnose our own problems. WTF EA is getting really lazy. I have a ticket open but it keeps sending me to here instead. BTW none of the fixes works for my game and its only Battlefront II as my other games work.

Just bought the game and having all the same issues. Just got the newest NVIDIA graphics driver, did a Repair on the game files, restarted computer, disabled Origin services from Task Manager, and still does not work.

Replying to all above if you're subscribed:
Talked to EA Support via chat and got a couple workarounds that made it work for me.
Assuming you're all on Win10 like I am.
Go to the circle search thingy in the bottom left and type "Run Programs" into it. The main result that comes up will be "Run programs made for previous versions of Windows". Click on that. SWBF2 probably won't be in the list of programs, but click Not Listed and manually locate the .exe in the Program Files. (Mine was in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II as an example). It should give the option to run it as if it was running on Win8. Don't ask me why a brand new game needs to run on an old OS, it just works.
Next, you may have to run the game in Windowed mode to get it to show up properly. When I did the above I heard sound but got no video. To get windowed mode, click Alt Enter on your keyboard while the game is running. You may have to restart the game to get it to show up, but once I did it worked for me.
Hope this helps you guys!
