Getting stuck in the environment - more frequently after the November update

Got stuck with Grievous on Kashyyyk in one of the little huts that circle the main tree.  Did a thrust surge and got "stuck" on the front side of some boxes.  Nothing in front or on the sides to restrict movement, it was almost like I impaled myself on the front face of the boxes.  Couldn't do anything other than watch myself get melted.  Super frustrating.

There are definitely some places still in the game were players can get stuck. Places like this are posted online every now and then (reddit and here), and I believe it might be better to keep one thread full of these things in the future. As this thread has already some glitch spots and a good title, I will try to add future places to this thread as well.

I've recorded some places in the past and will be posting them here (when I got the time) to add to the list.

I understand your reason for bringing every similar report here, and thanks for doing this work for us, but I strongly believe the reasoning from OP and the others is faulty in a single but very important aspect: This BUG isn't tied to a place (or many places). This BUG is actually tied to dodging on weird geometrically shaped places, corners, or stairs, any of these.

My reasoning comes from 3 things:

- 1st, suddenly, out of nowhere, every Dash Dodge character can get stuck in many places that never had issues before;

- 2nd, in every instance of this BUG, first a character gets completely stuck. Then, after some time left alone, the character resumes being able to rotate and walk/run, but it can't leave its place. Some Skills can be used, blocking is also available, but the character is still stuck. This behavior is totally different from previous bad collision places reported here;

- 3rd, I managed to reproduce this on Arcade, but I'm now trying to do it in many different places with different characters to prove it isn't tied to a place, but to a type of place + a specific mechanic (dash dodge)

I'm recording clips for this, I'll also give it a try with roll dodge characters, but AFAIK it isn't possible with them, and nobody reported a case of this BUG with such characters.

My idea is to open a new Thread when I have enough proof to my claim to show devs a more specific and deeper look at this new BUG, because if they try to look at fixing these places, they'll never succeed because thats not the issue

I highly doubt there is 1 specific way to recreate the 'being stuck in a certain location' @RogueZeroRendar, however, I think there are multiple ways to increase the chances of getting in such a faulty state. Let me elaborate.

1. I've seen plenty of these type of issues with using the jetpack trooper. Multiple times I flown right into an obstacle (with the long high jetpack jump) and still get stuck, without ever dodging. Also flying against a wall can get you stuck. I've experienced this multiple times myself and also seen other players in game having the same problem. For example, in the Naboo third phase palace stairs hallway, if you use a jet trooper and land in the down corner which contains a phase, you will get stuck there. No dodging involved.
2. On Kashyyyk 2 phase, when leaving the big Venator ship as a clone, you can get stuck between the ground and ship. I've had multiple hero rounds end right there because I jumped into that spot. No dodging involved neither.
3. However, maybe when in a fight, or you dodge, your character is 'pushed' inside a location that it normally shouldn't be able to reach (the faulty state). So it might be location dependent but the chance could be increased by dodging/rolling/using lightsaber swings.

I think it IS location dependent, but the chances of getting into those states might be increased by performing a dodge/lightsaber swing. Several updates the past year had patchnotes containing small fixes for existing maps, titled: 'fixed bad collision on ****planet***", so I do believe they fix these type of problems. However, there are many locations left that need some tweaks and posting those in this one thread could really help devs find those oddly specific spots. Even if dodging increases chances of ending in the faulty state, a thread with all broken locations wouldn't hurt.

Just to be clear: I'm wasn't referring to the bad state after being thrown around as a hero (in a ragdoll), or rolling on the ground (in ragdolling) which has a bug causing the ragdoll to never end. I believe that bug is caused by ragdolling and is not location dependent.

You also have to watch who you respawn under.  For instance, ill respawn following an ariel trooper while hes flying.  Not being an ariel I cant fly.  So i fall into a spot that i cant walk or jump into and stuck.  I just make as much noise as possible and hope to get found by an enemy.

I can confirm that! It has been there for quite some time already, maybe since Elite Corps update. It seems to be an invisible platform just above the visible platform of that spot. The video provided shows the exact place perfectly
