Hearing friends voices through origin when not in voice chat
Hey guys,
Kind of new to the forum but I ran across something odd, not sure if it has been addressed before or not so I figured I would post here to get some help. On multiple occasions over the last few months I have noticed being able to hear people talk through origin even when not in a voice chat with them. The key seems to be when we group up in game. For example, I group up in game with 1 friend on my friends list that I don't personally know, suddenly I can hear them talk. This friend also told me through regular typed chat that they could hear me too. The sound is a bit lower than when you're actually in a voice chat, but can definitely still hear. Scenario 2: I'm in a in game group with 3 total people but only voice chatting with 1 other person. The third person, who neither of us are in a voice chat with, can still hear us.
Bottom line, don't like it lol.
Anyone else notice this?
Thanks for any help.
- Possible you have something else runnign in the background that is gathering sound.
A couple things to try.
In the chat, mute the people in the group. See if the sounds go away. If they do, you are getting feedback from anothers connection. If not, try...
Outside the game, right click on your lower right sound icon and turn off spatial sound.
Also, unplug your mic. Reboot the computer and let the driver reload.
Hope this helps.
