As you all know, to rank up those hero ships we need to play Starfighter Assault. I am not good at starfighters, so only when I was lucky enough I could be those hero ships. And normally I soon blew up 😞 ... anyway I got EXP for those hero ships ... 1k or lower. For ranking up, I need 20k or more! Oh! I need to play much more! Furthermore, I have 11 hero ships LOLI think it is so hard. If I get skill points from my crafting parts, I will invest those points to the hero ship. What do you think of it guys?

I think the biggest problem with the hero ships is you achieve way less point rewards for completing tasks and getting kills. I think you get 10 points on your screen for a kill, where you get 100 if you're in a regular ship. They need to increase the amount of points you gain while playing a hero ship.

I know there is a difference between battle points and your score. Fact remains, you don't score the same in a hero ship as a normal ship... Thus it takes way longer. That's all I was saying.

Yeah. Plus most of the time when you're in a hero ship, as soon as you're identified as standing out from the pack of other ships, you're immediately targeted and taken out. Most of the hero ships don't have the HP or escape capability to deal with being focus fired from several players all at once. I mean, every time I spawn the Millenium Falcon, I do it to serve as a meat shield that leads the enemy team away from my teams objectives, essentially an enormous distraction. The other hero ships are distractions as well, they just don't have the HP or the skillset to stay alive for a decent amount of time.

In the new progression system there are two things hard to level up: the hero ships and the armor. Depends of luck (if there is any available when you have the points) and a rather unsavory grind.

@TheSplynncryth Excuse me, sir. Probably that is BP(Battle Points). You can get less BP when you are the hero ship just like as you are the hero in the Galactic Assault mode. It is unrelated to the score and EXP. Even if you only earn 10% BP, it doesn't affect the ranking up. However, I agree with the idea that they need to change something with the hero ship.Here are some tips 😉 As mentioned above, normally we can only get 10% BP when we are the hero ship. But Tallie's A-wing and Iden's TIE-fighter are exceptions. They can earn BP as same as the regular ship. So, If you are defeated, you can call the next hero ship easily.

@Sati_Sati I agree, there is not a game mode where you can play the hero starfighter without having to use your battle points, like in heroes versus villians. The ranking up will be hard for players that would not get the skill points promised by EA for ever 40 crafting parts they own. If you have crafting parts and they would be converted into skill points I recommend everyone to spend those skill points on the hero ships.

While that is not a bad idea, it won't actually rank up the ships, so if you don't have the required level, those skill points won't do you much good.

@Julybil Thanks. I have about 1,200 crafting parts, so I can spend 30 skill points to those hero ships. if I don't have those points, the situation will get worse 🤒

@felker_s Thank you, that is a good point. Now, those hero ships require 25 level to craft epic cards. (I think it was level 20 before, but I might be wrong.) Until then, I may need to make many blue cards.

I wouldn't waste extra skill points in advance though. Ranking up the 3 cards you actually use to rare is reasonable enough, but you'll get the remaining skill points for the epic tier while leveling up anyway. Maybe also upgrade your regular starfighters, after all, that is the first step to the hero ships.

Some of us already have all the cards we'll ever use on our troopers and fighters at epic level. All I'm really doing under the new progression (and it's very easy to level up troopers and regular Starfighters now) is making purple cards that will never see the light of day.
If and when I feel the need to purple out all my heroes, there's a mode for that.
Hero ships however become instant targets in Starfighter Assault. If you last over a minute in one, you've had a very good run. So like the original poster said, leveling up hero ships is going to be a long, long grind.
When my crafting parts get converted I'll have 28 skill points to spend, and they're all going to my hero ships. The ones I use most are all blue already.

@ivrognard In my opinion, the armor is not so hard. AT-ST/AAT is popular but AT-RT is not. I could use that when I would like to. And it is good and reasonable.
