Claw rush and Vader in general certainly detract from the fun. I bounce back and forth between believing the developers don't adequately play test to check for balance.... to believing they simply don't care. Those are the scenarios where I just trigger a respawn.
To me, making the game free on psn is what has ruined it. I literally had to chase my teammates down on bespin in a feeble attempt to avoid the other team 4v1 saber mashing me. It was insane. They were all just running about different parts of the map by themselves, doing nothing as i got raged on. Noobs running with their heads cut off

between noobs and the state of imbalance DICE gratuitously left behind, mode is mostly unplayable...back to SFA for me

Grievous is “nearly” unbeatable. He has two abilities that cannot be blocked (but can be dodged).
Unrelenting Advance cannot be blocked; it can be dodged and this is often your best bet depending on what character you’re using. Grievous is vulnerable from behind but since they buffed his movement with the ability only a few characters have the dodge to actually do it (Luke, Rey, & Kenobi).
Claw Rush is just SUPER BROKEN. I cannot speak for PC but on console, you cannot block this ability. You “can” dodge it, however, the timing has to be pin point precise and given the state of the servers it’s unlikely to register. Claw Rush having buffed mobility means that even if you manage to dodge once you may not be able to again if you’re using a character like Annikan or Yoda who can’t dodge to the degree that Grevious can move.
What’s more is that Claw Rush shouldn’t be able to register multiple hits ... ever! The cool down of all Grevious’s abilities is so short he can essentially ability spam back to back. Even if you manage to dodge Claw Rush as a saber user it’s damage output / stam drain is so much that unless you’re full stam the ability can drain you leaving you ripe to get picked off when he gets up.
The state of Grevious is just one example of gameplay logic that MUST come from the Dev’s chronic drug use. I can’t think of any other reason such poor thinking could make its way into the game.
Other broken foolery in HvV:
*Why is it STILL that all shooters can fire while in a knock down?!? A shooter that’s knocked back / knocked down continues to fire almost non stop rendering the knock down useless. What’s the point?!?
*Why was Kylo nerfed?! I’ve been saying this for almost a year; Kylo is now the weakest villain and unless you’re a 10/10 with using him he’s not worth your time; and even then, you better have a solid squad. Kylo is the only character who is exposed to harm by using an ability (Frenzy). Not only can Frenzy not resolve elevation changes on maps but the AOE is WAY to small, with all the increases to dodging it often isn’t available, & Kylo can be hit, pushed, pulled, or otherwise injured by his opponent while Frenzy is active. My suggestion was that when Frenzy is activated on an enemy that the opponent would be subject to a restriction of using their abilities; (similar to Kenobis) for the duration of Frenzy. Opponents can still block and dodge but can’t use abilities... characters like Yoda with his hit box, and Luke with his mobility can push Kylo during Frenzy and take zero damage.
* Why was splash damage for Iden’s Alt Fire never added? The same can be said for Han’s Detonate Charge. It’s lunacy that a character can detonate a high yield explosive next to themselves and take no harm. This would make it more strategic to use these abilities rather than just spam them.
* Speaking of Han & Iden; both DC & Alt Fire should be nerfed; the damage is way too high for abilities that are completely unblockable.
* Bosk needs to be heavier; Bosk is PROOF that these 30 foot hit boxes that exist when saber users jump CAN be fixed! When Bosk jumps he evades saber strikes; clearly his hit box isn’t an issue. Given the stats of his other abilities he shouldn’t be able to soar in the air; between his jump and his dodge he can effectively evade saber strikes until he can lean on his mines again.
* Boba Fett needs an adjustment to his in-air knock back recovery; I don’t disagree with him being able to do it, however, it shouldn’t be so immediate.
* Annakins Heroic Might ... I don’t think I even have to elaborate on this one ... although Retribution is buggy as well.
Lastly ... WHO CAME UP WITH THIS NONSENSE DAMAGE EFFECT WHEREBY OPPONENTS CAN ESCAPE WITH BETWEEN 5 - 10 HEALTH!!!
Honestly! You engage an opponent, put in the work to defeat them and they’re able to dodge/escape with literally a sliver of heath and run to their teammates. This is one of the most annoying aspects of the game! It’s not as if anyone’s being melted in two hits! By structuring the combat this way getting a kill can be overly drawn out. There are certain characters where this is more evident (Luke, Obi Wan, Palp, Rey, and nearly all of your shooters {not Chewbacca}).
These are the largest contributing imbalances in the game and combined with the junk server state makes the gameplay feel more like a game of chance. If I wanted to play a game of chance I’d go to a casino.

Unrelenting advance can be blocked on PC, however, mostly the first hit. Since every Grievous player runs in circles or back and forth, it's impossible to defend from the second attack. And blaster heroes have no chance of evading it, thanks to the disjointed hitbox it can't be jumped or dodged. It would be fine if stun abilities (like Chewbacca's shock grenade, Lando's disabler, Han's detonite charge, etc) could knock him out of the animation. Or just double the recharge time of that ability. What I say since the scarif update: Griveous wasn't bad. He was a powerful hero, had a huge damage output but only an experienced player could get the most out of him, greedy Grievous players can easily run out of stamina and lose. But now even noobs can achieve high killstreaks with him, especially in ship phases of CS. Just hide behing walls and claw rush through corridirs - even if they get hit multiple times, the amount of kills restore most of the lost health. When the animation ends, they retreat and wait till the ability cools; strategy for idiots. We all had our fun with Grievous, we all enjoyed abusing him, but its starting to get enough.
As much az I like Iden, you're right. Lightsaber heroes sometimes have no chance against Iden on a 1v1 fight. Just shoot; if they defend, use alt fire. If they attack, stun and shoot. The damage for the alternate shot is too high and should require splash damaging Iden, preventing her from using it close-range.
Vader is still very powerful. The nerfs did weaken him, but that only means choke hold+saber throw is not a oneshot anymore. I still don't understand the fact why can he block while using abilities. Especially saber throw, thats just dumb. What is he blocking with when the saber is away? Most Vader players just turtle behind their defences, if the stamina runs out choke hold+saber throw, and wait for teammates to back them up.
I think Bossk is fine. Most of the time a blaster hero's 2 dodge can't defend you from an enemy mindlessly spamming attack, especially Luke. Nerfing his jump made him an OK hero, not too op but still deadly, especially in close-quarters and objectives.
Also Han's shoulder charge is a joke. Every other charge attack can be blocked, but this. I think if you charge shoulder-first to a lightsaber, you should be the one taking damage. That ability also has kind of a disjointed hitbox and sometimes the attack connects before Han reaches you. Sometimes I stun him with Dooku while charging, and even though he falls, and the animation plays, I get the damage and fall back/die. Even if my hit connected first, his hitbox somehow keeps moving forward even when he's falling down.
Also Obi-Wan... he's a great hero if youre good with saber parrys but his abilities are weak. Defensive rush is miles better now, but All-out push takes too much time to charge up and can easily be blocked or dodged by even simple infantry, and mind trick is porbably the weakest hero ability in the game. Even though mind tricks were Obi-Wan's signature force powers in the movies/Clone Wars, the game only gave us a weak interpretation of it. Sometimes it doesn't even works, and even if it does, the enemy just waits out the time his abilities are locked, blocking. The power expires before their stamina runs out and you basically did nothing.
I think Boba's recovery is not that of an issue, I kinda feel like they elevated the death-zone of ledges, so you can't just fly out of pits and deapths like you used to.
