Hey @SnowmanHD When it saying it needs more players even though there are players on the servers. Those players are still loading the level.

It's a mistake in design. It IS someone still loading. To prove that just check if in your team someone is still showing an icon of a hero of the opposing faction, or if none are like this, ask the enemy team to check that. While someone is loading their icons show heroes from the opposing faction.
And don't underestimate the loading time, or a CTD from the person who was loading, which may take a long time to be processed (this is probably the case when you wait a lot, and then suddenly someone leaves, which was the guy who CTDed but the game took forever to process that)

RogueZeroRendar is correct. It happens on HvV all the time. I'm sure that asking DICE to fix this will only lead to Palpatine being overpowered again.

Thanks for your responses and I may be wrong, but I really don't think I am though.
I have sat in lobbies many times waiting for an eternity while the icons show my team is full and ready to go with characters selected, and the opposing team (only viewable through the lobby display screen) shows the same 4 players. Yet still it says "1 player needed". For eons.
If this is them still loading up then they are either still using an ancient dial-up modem for their connection, or the servers are even worse then i thought.
It is usually other people who quit the lobby out of frustration or lack of patience, not me.
And... i don't know how to even ask the other team what is going on? Unless they're added to my friends list and in a party chat how do i even do that on Xbox? There's no game chat that i'm aware of and i'm certainly not going to sit there typing out a pm on the onscreen keyboard.
Why doesn't it have game chat anyway? Every other top fps does?
- 8 years agoI agree with SnowmanHD. I waited for upto ten minutes yesterday. Surely that's not someone still loading the game?
Anyway, it happens in Hero Showdown as well. - 8 years ago
I definitely do think that the lobbies occasionally bug out and will not launch a game regardless how many players are there. I haven't experienced it regularly but it has been there since launch. Yes it does happen as @RogueZeroRendar stated when people are loading etc. But there are times you can wait and wait because its bugged out. I know this as I have sat in a lobby missing one person where my team has 3 people with heroes /villains selected. The final person joins selects theres and it still says one player required sat there and waited for at least three-four minutes with no one leaving and still it doesn't launch. Obviously after about three-four minutes people from my team left. Now if that's the lobby not showing one of my team having left three minutes prior its not what I would call working correctly. But Im not sure it can be as on one occasion I'm thinking of I recall the first person that left had started doing that frustrated scrolling through heroes selecting and deselecting. In any case I can't help but think that a lobby system more like SWBF1 would go a long way to solving quite a few problems.

I'm not used to Console playing, so yeah it's a shame you can't contact the opposing team to check on that.
But a CTD (Crash to Desktop) may also occur in a Console, as a simple Crash to Console Menu. Crashes can take eons to be processed by the server. And sometimes even the console can be going through some issues and takes ages to load, to which the server has no time-out feature to force a maximum loading time.
This all could be solved if the message for when there are only loading players delaying the start of a match was something like: Waiting for # Players to Load
