Hi. I was wondering if I could choose my gender in game?

I know it's not a huge deal... but I was wondering if in the collections section I could change my troopers gender to female... as I find I am more fully immersed when playing as my own gender.  Than...

    @maxinenel15 People asked for this on multiple occasions on the old forum, but never got any response from the Dev Team or Community Managers (as far as I saw).

    My guess is that the character models are not interchangeable, and so they would have to create new character models for each trooper and reinforcement that has visible indications of gender (face, body type, etc.). They would also need to create new opposite-gendered character models for the various alien races. Or in other words, it's probably not something that could easily be changed by simply reusing the graphical assets already available in-game.

I would have loved this to be a thing too for the reasons you said :/ I made a post about it on the old forums and a few comments too. In the campaign there are some female Rebel appearances that would have been nice.

There are a few female soldiers/reinforcements in the multiplayer though, at least. The Rebellion/Resistance Specialist and Aerials are both women. The First Order Heavy and Officer are women, and the Imperial Specialist and ISB agent (maybe the Aerial too, I'd need to check though) are women. There aren't many but eh.

    I think they have female skins on some of the classes, and some of the reinforcements are female like the Rebel/Resistance rocket trooper and Imperial ISB Agent.

      You were able to change your gender on BF15 but this game the genders have been assigned to certain classes on different factions.  It's not such a  big deal but would have been nice to have the option.
