how can you not have voice settings while forcing people's mics to broadcast?

how do you think its acceptable to make people's microphone's available by default with no option to change it? why should I have to alter all my other clients and microphone settings AROUND origin w...

EA, why do you not care about your players privacy?  This is INSANELY bad functionality!!!

(also I just chatted with EA support and found them to be less than useless.  They apparently have no internal knowledge base, and have to google for answers to questions like this)
