How do you use the Droid shock on the Start of the single player PC ? No matter what key I use nothing happens. A little help window pops up in the game and says press to use droid shock but does not say what key.

I'd be more interested in why the pop-up window is not showing you what you need to know. It did for me (on PC). That sounds like it could impact you later.
Same problem here in 2021 ☹️ after fresh install (Got the game from Epic Games if it matters). I dont have EN keyboard if it matters again.. not sure. Pressing correct button works, its just the hint text broken. Here is the screenshot https://imgur.com/a/icmMH9T
It not even showing that in options. also fresh install from epic.
