How to cap FPS? 2000 + FPS on loading screens.

Title. My FPS skyrockets to 2000 + on some screens, like loadings or the BF2 logo. I want to put a limit, how to do it?

  • You can use an external program like Bandicam to limit the FPS.
I did this and it changed my constant 100% CPU to a steady 20% CPU.
The game was unplayable until I did this.
Set Bandicam to 'game record mode' along top... then under the FPS tab: turn off the overlay, turn on FPS limit, and turn off 'only when recording'
I tried to post this on the forum as a Fix.. and my post was deleted.

  • If you're using an NVIDIA card, you could also enable an driver-level limiter through the NVIDIA Inspector tool, so you don't have to run an program in the background.

Is there a specific "inspector tool" that is needed or?

Never in my life have I experienced this with a game and I have no idea how to deal with it.
