I agree with this too. The light side is not as bad as people say it is. I actually find it more fun to win games as the light side vs squads of 4. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a squad back out when they get to go against you as the dark side just because they realize they aren’t as untouchable as they thought as the dark side. Dark side is more noob friendly to use but the light side takes more skill which is why you have players that just back out when they get it. Like you said anytime I see a team back out as light side, they are basically admitting they are not as good as you.
@BooBooKitty9999Yeah, especially when both teams are skilled, the match can be really even or even a bit in favor of the light side.
Just when light side comes up with their blaster heroes, it's a perfect opportunity for all pros with good aim to turn this match into a true nightmare for the dark side.
Using Iden Versio or Palpatine (or even Boba) is not much of an advantage anymore and needing to rely on Darth Vader and Kylo Ren as counter in such a scenario (as it often happens) opens up more strategic ways for the light side again. Ok, Grievous' claw rush goes over the top now, but the main principle stays the same.
Especially as Grievous is more a hit-and-run cavalry unit type and can't hold off a wall of blaster fire quite well (unlike Vader and Kylo), same for infantry modes.
@TRlALON The Leia rework was a game changer for the light side IMO. She will absolutely shred anyone without a block or who is knocked down. Boba’s can be an issue with the concussion rocket but she made the light side so much better after the rework to the point I’d call it pretty close to even. Then Grevious got his very unnecessary buff/change. It’s made things harder on the light side for sure, especially for blasters. Still like you said he is hit and run. I’ve also found having a Rey saving mind trick exclusively for claw rush to be very helpful in eliminating grevious completely. Dark side are better for sure and they have more combos of heroes they can do without sacrificing any power but the light side is close. I think the light side just needs other heroes to be buffed to be more usable in HvV because you’re unlikely to win against good dark side players unless you’ve got Han, Anakin, and Leia.
@BooBooKitty9999Sometimes it's not because of Leia, but when a lightside team sticks together and one guy is cheesing around as Lando or Chewbacca with clever use of the stun gadgets and good aim, darkside can have a hard time already lol.
But yeah, once Leia's E-11 was only a good weapon for close quarters as the spray made this weapon too inaccurate; without even considering the recoil. Now this is a solid weapon for mid to far range.
