particularly in death star
Happened to me on Death Star as well.
- Major-Band1t8 years agoHeroActually, I like it to some degree. Keeps you on the edge, not knowing where you will be. Have blasted a few and been hammered from behind as well. At least it's different. Conversely, sometimes we get sent 4 miles away from the action and after some scanning, run for 30-45 seconds to get in the game as well....

Death Star in the opposite end of the light side initial spawn is notorious. Starkiller both in the snowy terrain and right from the lightside initial spawn close to the base's wall. Takodana both inside the castle courtyard, and outside of it near the side entrance door.
And yes, sometimes you spawn very far away, but I'm unsure if this is a change in the condition of spawn, or if it's indeed the closest spawn point your team can spawn in that's far away from where your team's target currently is.
But even though we can rearrange our playstyles to assume people will spawn nearby, seeing someone spawning right in front of you is bad game design in any game as it hurts immersion very badly, so these spawns must be tweaked a bit in order to kill these horrible 'spawn out of thin air' sights.
