I had a funny thing that seems like it might offer a clue to this issue.
I picked Phasma to play. Played with her for a round until she died. Accidentally went to "change hero" screen when I wanted to keep playing her. In that screen, I chose Phasma, it said "starting as Phasma in..." then I was in play as Palpatine instead. So I played him, but since I wanted to play Phasma, I went back to "change hero" screen, chose Phasma, got the "starting as Phasma" message, then when play began I was Bossk. Turns out there was already another Phasma in play by that time, but then I shouldn't have had the option to pick her. So something wonky is happening in the choose hero screen.
I'll be honest with you. It's very easy to understand how to perform this BUG. It's very well detailed on youtube, just search it.
But, the list of BUGs that are a lot more serious then this BUG is so big, I have no intention of showing how to perform this one. Of course it isn't cool when there is more then one of the same hero as they can exploit some duplicate skills, but for the side that do these bugs it's enjoyable.
Also it can be dealt with, it's just 2 or more of the same hero, it isn't like they are invincible. It isn't like you can't play. It isn't like your skills stop working. It isn't like you're unable to attack, run, jump. It isn't like you can't hear anything. It isn't like you die in one shot. It's an unfair BUG indeed, but very low in the rank of most problematic BUGs, and it may lead to funny situations (I'm yet to record the Smoke Squad, a 4 Landos team each with both Smoke Grenades cards just to throw a party of smoke).
This BUG is time consuming and requires precise inputs. It also requires players to allow themselves to get killed or just suicide. Whenever the ones who picked the hero earlier die, they probably won't be able to do it again unless the one who last picked the bugged hero performs the bug again.
So focus on really problematic BUGs before, and I may share what I know. Or just stop being lazy, go to youtube, discover a method to do this, and try it yourselves Devs and EA staff.
If you fix 20 serious BUGs between 2 patches, I promise I'll say how to perform this.
