I haven't been given a refund for my cancelled preorder

Hi,

I still haven't been given a refund since cancelling my pre-order. How long does this process usually take.

    Hey, generally if you pre-order with a credit card in Origin you won't be charged straight away. From other retailers or using different payment methods, you'll usually be charged straight away.


    @jmossea Be sure to check your payment records from when you made the pre-order. If you were indeed charged you can reach out to support, but it's more likely that the money wasn't taken.

    Depends on where you pre-ordered from. Usually happens within a week in most cases. But this is why you avoid paying up front for a pre-order. Always go for a pay later option or pre-order a hard copy like I did and only pay on the release date when you pick it up. (Plus hard copies save memory space)

    Depends where it came from, you may never have been charged in the first place when you placed it. Your account would be hit about a week before release if this was the case had you kept it, by canceling it all you did was stop the charge from happening and thus there is no refund because you never paid for it.

    Like which refund you want from preorder? Preorder didn't charged you anything. They would charge your money only when the game has been already released.

    Some pre-orders charge you right away depends how and where you pre-ordered from even if it hasn't been released yet.

    Guess when he is asking on the EA forum for a refund then he preorded it at Origin?  And by my own experience, they don't charge money before the game is released.

    @llIIllIIIIIll It's often a reasonable assumption that someone ordered from Origin but it's not always the case so it's always best to ask. 🙂
