I'm unable to activate 1st person view

Product: Star Wars Battlefront II

What is your issue related to? General
Summarize your bug I'm unable to activate 1st person view, I press the C key and only changes perspective, but still continues as 3rd view, tried to reinstall, update, and no results. I tried activate 1st person view under gameplay menu and still runs as 3rd view, although every time I press de C key it does change the button under gameplay to 1st or 3rd, but not. in-game, as it will not have any effect..

    Hi feller_s, I do press the Key down, and still no change in game, although it does change the option under gameplay from 1st to 3rd or vice versa, but not in game.. Its so strange..

    So - just to clarify -, you press and hold? But judging by the options screen change you mentioned, I guess so...

    If it is indeed a bug, it might be the side effect of the new patch. Have you tried checking the game files in Origin? It has some kind of a repair function, if I recall correctly. (I play on XOne myself.)

    Hi again, yes, I press and hold the key, and it does change in the gameplay options, but not in game, I did try the repair option, reinstall and still no solution. So I guess it is a bug indeed, although I haven't found anything/anyone online reporting the same situation...

    @cesarmgaspar Hi, thanks for the post. Can I check if you've tried setting your keybinds to the default?

    If you have, or this has no effect, can you try wiping your local settings files. 


    If you go to C:\Users\*your user name*\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II, you'll find a bunch of settings files. Make a backup of them just in case something goes wrong, then delete them from the folder. Restart the game and it should create new ones from a default template. 

    Once you're in the game can you try swap perspective again and see if anything has changed?

    To double double check - is it ALL toons - or just the specials - I don't think you can go into 1st person mode with some toons.

    @PremierVenoth Very good point. Special characters -heroes and reinforcements- are locked to 3rd person whereas only the rank and file can toggle to 1st person.

    @EA_David @PremierVenoth Thank you for trying to help, I did what you suggested, but still it doesn't swap the view with any caracter, both on Career or Multiplayer.
