In-game Progress and Custom Settings Being Reset Daily
I'm having this problem with Star Wars Battlefront 2, and it has been happening since the beginning of the Play First Trial. Everything is being reset every day when I launch the game for the first time except for my multiplayer progress like star cards (loadouts are being reset, just not the star cards themselves) and heroes unlocked, completed milestones (progress on arcade milestones that aren't complete is being reset), and currencies. Even my graphics settings and custom keybinds get reset every day.
I did every dark side battle scenario for the milestone crate, then the next day they all reset like I never did them... except I still have the milestone for doing them all completed. I thought it might have been caused by cloud saves failing to sync because I kept getting that error message every time I launched the game. I tried resetting the cache and it didnt work, then tried disabling cloud saves altogether last night to see if that would do it. After that I completed all the light side battle scenarios for the milestone, and then today when I launched the game for the first time... same thing, everything reset including the battle scenarios.
Strangely this problem stopped happening for the first two days after the Deluxe Trooper Edition launched, which was luckily enough time for me to finish the campaign, but now I have lost that campaign progress so I can't go back and try to get collectables without doing the whole thing again. I still have the in-game milestones and Origin achievements for completing the campaign done though.
Any ideas on how to fix this infuriating bug? I love this game but am tired of this happening every day, and if literally all I can do without losing my progress is multiplayer that's a pretty serious issue.
Hey @BigNipBandit Thanks for all detail information, what platform are you playing on?
If both of you are playing on PC disable cloud saves in origin for SWBf2 and then remove the document folder for SWBf2(its here it should be saving the data) after that start the gameplay a match of the arcade, quit the game and the start it up again to see if that worked.
