Ion turret not working

While playing Heavy, after placing the Ion turret it does not track enemies at all. No firing and no beeping while targeting.

The last update included a change to ion turret. iIt will no longer track individual players. It will track and fire at individual turrets, starfighters, and any vehicle. It was in release notes and they, DICE, said "this was done at overwhelming requests from the players." I know I hated it till I got it, then it was great tool in battle. Too bad😢

I agree with you all if the ion turrets have stopped tracking troopers but are you sure? On Crait, I use the turret to assist in taking down the speeders. When there were no speeders or obvious opponent turrets (my Ion torps didn't pick up any targets), it was still targeting something and was getting Kills/kill assists with it.

A speeder is considered a vehicle therefore the ion turret will track and fire on it. The turret won't tack on individual troopers unless they are in a vehicle. I read this in the release notes for update posted on this site and/or Redditt in star wars battlefront 2 thread.🙂
