Is coop not free anymore for star wars battlefront II?

I recently discovered that the system will not allow me to play coop without Playstation plus. Is this the case now that this game is free on Playstation +? This is very unusual because I can play co...

    You’ve always needed a PS+ subscription to play co op. It’s online and it uses matchmaking to find people to play with.

    But you can also play co op offline, so is that maybe what you were asking?

@vvycqztnshaw The "You need PS Plus to play online" issue has been going around for a couple of months now, I just got it yesterday myself. Restarting the PlayStation 4 did not resolve the issue. I ultimately had to shut down the PlayStation 4 and unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in and start over. Haven't had any problems since then.
