I went back and played SWBF1 today just for the heck of it. Got a Walker Assault game right away, which surprised me. There's no server lag and rubber banding, but the game I was in was overrun with hackers. A couple of them promised to turn off the hacks before the next map started. Gee whiz.
So my options are SWBF2 with server lag and AFK botters or SWBF1 with open cheating...
