Is there really nothing that can be done about Grievous?

If this never gets fixed, here are a few counters to grievous:

You can parry claw rush, this gives you rag doll immunity for a few seconds as well as damaging grievous (slightly)

You can hit him as soon as claw rush finishes and he won’t be able to block.

You can parry unrelenting advance over and over again (this is pretty hard to do) this causes a lot of damage.

You can parry thrust surge for quick and easy damage

Han’s shoulder charge rag dolls grievous when he does thrust surge (Han also gets rag dolled though)

Han’s detonate charge knocks grievous out of claw rush

Leia’s machine gun thing deals a decent amount of damage to grievous when he’s in claw rush
