Hey @DragonLancer0,
As mentioned in my previous post; there is no such thing as what you mentioned for SWBF2 and EA things. If there's something regarding a corrupted profile, it's from the Xbox itself and potentially single-player save data that is stored locally (or in the Xbox cloud backup) on your console, nothing on our servers.
The issue that you're experiencing allows me to believe that something is going wrong with your locally saved Xbox save game data of SWBF2, which is saved on the console and backed up in the Xbox cloud.
The best thing you can do for this is to request assistance from Microsoft Xbox support since they will be able to guide you on how you can safely sync your locally saved console data and override it when needed.
Please read carefully as you're not correct and this is why:
I have restarted the console and have cleared the local cache on the console - no resolution
I have cleared the account (removed it) and then re-initialized the account - no resolution
I have cleared the saved data within the game itself and also have done a console reset (one for keeping the games, the other for a clean wipe of any corrupted files on the console) - no resolution
I have tried to set the IP addresses in DNS to manual to see if it was the network connection (this has been working fine) - no resolution
I have also power cycled the console - no resolution
I have tried to restart and log out of the account, restarted and linked up with my account - no resolution
I have also re-installed SW:BF2 after the hard reset was completed and didn't use any older files or config - no resolution
So at this point Xbox support have confirmed with myself that this isn't a local Xbox console issue, it's an issue with my account on the game server.
XBOX SUPPORT know it's a corrupted profile from the game server, and one of your colleagues was able to fix this and get the game working again.
But what's happened is that the Xbox reads the sync data from the game server and it gives the user an option as to which sync do you want to use - it had an older date, and a newer date.
Unfortunately I choose the wrong date and the Xbox now tries to sync with the game server that only uses the older corrupted profile still as it was working because someone at EA knew what to do as they probably created a newer profile or link to my account and I didn't loose any of my progress. An Xbox user can't redirect their profile from the client end, it has to be from the servers end where the game is hosted.
If I had chosen the newer dated sync profile it would still be working. So why you keep mentioning the "profile refresh" is irrelevant at this point. It doesn't matter what it's called actually.
Can you help with this please or give it to someone at EA support that can as I can't play the game at all? Otherwise I won't bother answering back until it can be fixed or should I move onto another game since this doesn't work for me?
