Issues with the EOR matchmaking system - examples

On which platform do you play? PC (Origin)

In what region are you located? US (Austin, TX)

What ping site do you use? Default, East Coast (Virginia), AUS

In which game mode the problem occurred? ALL

What exactly is the problem? Problem is, clicking on ANY game mode to join always takes at least 30 seconds to minute+ to join a lobby, only to then be dumped into an empty lobby. If you manage to fill the lobby and play a round or two, then about 2 rounds in it switches to "matchmaking" and the problem repeats itself over and over again. Dropping out of an empty lobby and then trying to join a new one just results in more of the same.

When exactly the problem occurred? Literally at all times of the day. I was playing last night between 10pm and 2am Central time and it happened then. I have been trying to join matches today at 3pm Central, same problem. It's been this way for weeks now.

Any additional feedback?

Your EOR matchmaking is complete and utter fail. It somehow makes playing even harder than it was before. I spend more time now staring at loading screens or lobbies than I ever do playing.

Quick follow up:

Last night I found much better success with getting into lobbies and the rounds actually finishing properly. I did still experience being dumped into empty lobbies, but at least during peak hours they seemed to fill up quicker...with a few exceptions where the lobbies were VERY empty and everyone who joined turned around and left again.

The problem that was worse last night was being tossed into the same 3 maps repeatedly. Back to back Kashyyyk, back to back Endor, back to back Death Stars. I get that it's the whole "Halloween theme", but...y'all couldn't make night modes for ALL of the maps? Really?

Also, the smaller map modes other than Galactic Assault are like ghost towns. Haven't been able to successfully join one in a long time. I think EORMM should ONLY exist for larger map modes, and even then I still think a team scramble would be a far better option than EORMM.

The ONE positive I can say is, the games seem to be better...but my opinion is that's it's due to people being so excited to actually join a match that they play harder/better than they might otherwise. A mud puddle will look tasty to a parched man after all.

They are ghost towns because there is a major bug in the game that EA is ignoring.
It's been a problem since before the EOR MM. There are countless threads on it but they are ignored by the EA support people.
