Joining group session that is full (indefinite loading screen)
There is an issue with joining a group session that is full. Before the most recent patch, pressing the join button when a group's match is full (no spots available on the team), it would keep the player waiting in the queue in the main menu [important]. Now, however, when a player presses the join button while the maps session is full (no spots available), it would place them into a loading screen of the map in question. However, they would remain in that loading screen indefinitely, with no loading bar in the top right corner. What makes matters worse, when the match is over, and there is a spot available, they would still remain on that indefinite loading screen.
Another related issue is that sometimes a player would wait in the queue and a message would appear. It states that the game is nearing its end, please try again in a few seconds. Two issues result from this message. Either the player waits, and nothing happens--they are still in the queue even though there is a spot available for the next match and so, they have to wait for another match to be over with to get in. Or, they hit the join button (no no no no), and they enter what I call the loading screen of death because you remain there indefinitely.
With that said, please revert back to the way it was, if there is no spot available, keep them in the main menu until there is. Also, fix it so that the queue text remains on the screen with their queue number. I don't know how many times I hear people waiting in queue complain that they keep hitting the join button because they think they are no longer in the queue. I don't blame them. The text either disappears or says group playing, which in either case shouldn't happen (only in this game is the queue system broken).
So, that is why I tell all my friends that when you accept a group invite, you do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Don't press the join button, don't accept more invites. Just sit there and be patient. It's not my job to tell other players how to work around this convoluted and broken join session system. Please fix this. It still shouldn't be an issue after so long.
