Kylo Ren card equipped to Darth Maul (XBO)

I started leveling Darth Maul recently and when I went in to alter his Star Cards, I double tapped "A" (on Xbox One) going into his list. Weirdly, it equipped Kylo Ren's Resilience card to Maul. I had been just looking at Kylo's loadout moments before, so that might have something to do with it.

Obviously since this isn't a card within Maul's menu, I don't have any ability to unequip the card. I've tried replicating what I did to equip in the first place to no avail. I tried going into single player and seeing if the card remained and it did, equipping and removing it from Kylo himself didn't do anything... restart didn't help either. Is this a known issue? EA support just sent me to post here; they couldn't unequip the card from their end but apparently making a post here will draw attention to somebody that can?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thank you! As somebody that grew up with memory cards and save files it is unforgivable that it didn't occur to me that the issue might be caused by LOCAL data rather than EA's side of things. Technically, the answer was that my loadout was being saved by Xbox Live / Microsoft to their cloud storage. When I finally was able to boot up the game again, XBL showed "Syncing..." as I logged in and everything became obvious.

If anybody finds this thread in the future with a similar problem, your loadout can be cleared by going into Battlefront 2's storage, finding your specific profile data, and hitting "Delete Everywhere." This will cause you to have to thumb through some of the intro pop ups again, but your loadouts will all be cleared. You also lose other locally stored (single player) progress, like collectibles found on the campaign or combat scenarios, but obviously any earned Milestones will still be there.

Can't wait to get back into the action. Thanks again!

    Hey @djturnerESQ

Thanks for posting on our forum! I cannot promise anything, I'll send this example to our specialists to see if they can fix it.

You've also mentioned that restarting your console didn't help. Could you try to power cycle it as well?

    Thanks!

Sadly a power cycle didn't fix the issue either. Worse, I was attempting to fix the problem yesterday by repeating what I did (thinking that if it equipped a card it should also be able to unequip it), but by switching between the two again I instead managed to screw up my Kylo Ren as well. Now he's got Darth Maul's Lightsaber Defense permanently stuck.

Suffice it to say I'm done messing with it. I updated my bug report and my open EA Help case to include Kylo now as well, but it has been a struggle conveying exactly what my issue is to those that can help me. I was enjoying HvV so much and now I have two of my favorites I can't touch, because I'm fairly certain it is borderline bug abuse to use either. Hopefully the specialists can resolve this, I've run out of ideas on my end :\

  • I hadn't thought of that! It will take most of the day due to my abysmal download speeds where I'm at but I'll give it a go and update this thread when it's done. Thank you for the suggestion @EA_Ataashi
