Kylo Ren: The Weakest Sith With Glitches...Now Made Weaker

It's Friday, 25 January 2019. I have been having trouble with Kylo Ren for some time now. 1st in HVV, his Freeze doesn't work when I want it to. It might work 1 out of 10 times. 2nd in HVV his Pull doesn't work when I want it to. It might work 1 out of 15 times. I get killed a lot going through the animation of using an ability only for it to not work and then being killed. The other Heros just walk or run through or I get shot up. 3rd is Kylo Ren's Frenzy. For the Challenge "We Are Not Done Yet" I need 30 kills with the Frenzy ability. I was at 2 now I'm at 8. But now I just found out it's going to be near impossible for me to get any more kills with Frenzy. His Bloodlust card was changed so instead of adding additional Frenzy hits it just adds damage to the few. But now Kylo Ren's Frenzy won't stay on one opponent. Kylo will bounce around from enemy to enemy. Not killing anyone just hurting enemies here and there. How nice. EA and Dice found a way to make a weak character even weaker. So now what? Kylo goes in and hurts different enemies with Frenzy and the other team players get the kills because Kylo Ren won't be able to finish them himself. And I really wanted to finish that challenge too. I can't do it if I can't stay on target, One target.

They said they had to nerf Kylo Ren. My question is if he's already weak, why? What they needed to do is to buff him to make him competitive.

  • Hello @Rynigin and thanks for expressing your concerns.

Kylo has had a very buggy frenzy for quite some time and I am glad they took steps into fixing that. I wouldn't be surprised if they are still experimenting with that ability to see if this damage per hit is actually a better system than more hits (the old situation). They might revert the change if the stats on their side show that Kylo is indeed weaker now.

On the other side, Kylo is not meant to be the strongest individual character on the battlefront. All the hero and villain characters are based on how they appear in the movies and books. For example, Vader is a real tank while Maul has the highest speed.

Kylo is right now a great battle controlling character: 2 of his abilities, the freeze and pull, can affect a lot of enemies. When you freeze someone, your teammates can quickly eliminate the opponent with blaster (just an example). I therefore don't expect Kylo to be the tank going to strike down 4 enemies with his lightsaber, and you shouldn't play as such.

I like to use Kylo more tactically, wait and strike when no one expects it and use his freeze to slow down enemies or block them from accessing a point. I NEVER attack the opponents after I froze them, since they will instantly be released from the freeze. Let someone else take care of that!

I like what you said but the fact remains.....I can't use Freeze or Pull reliably at any time. When I use Freeze nothing happens and I get rushed. When I use Pull nothing happens and I get rushed. Once in a blue moon, an ability will work but I'm so shocked and unprepared for it sometimes I fail to follow through. It's not normal for an ability to work. Usually, when I try to use an ability instead of my lightsabre I get killed. It would be nice to play as Kylo Ren with abilities. Maybe I wouldn't get killed so much so fast. And then I get messages telling me I'm trash or to get off the game because I suck. If I could do what I am supposed to be able to do I wouldn't be a bad player in HVV. I have issues with other HVV characters but for now, we're talking about Kylo Ren the weakest one. At least for me since I can't do anything. My lightsabre is my only option. If anyone has any ideas please talk to EA or Dice about fixing this. Thank You.

    Hey @Rynigin ,

Have seen this before.  Try a reboot of the game from off and unplugged. Also try different cards for 1 life and then try to reapply the cards you want. You might try it in Arcade as that gives you time to move the ability cards around.

    Worked for me.

    GLHF!.
