It was an issue of the past that was supposed to be fixed, I know. When I equip the Harsh Pull star card for Kylo Ren to pull people, it

a) Doesn't seem to actually inflict any bonus damage as it's supposed to be, judging from what I see when looking at enemy health bars and the battle points log.

b) Will not count as kill if I pull enemies over edges into the abyss, no matter how far or close they are to me. It's especially really annoying because everytime I have to turn around for a second because another enemy attacks me, I assume that the guy I pulled is still alive.

I experienced this everytime now since I equipped the harsh pull card. Some hour ago e.g. Obi Wan and Anakin were attacking me and I pulled them both at once off the edge. No kill.

Pulled enemies in the b) scenario that are pulled without the Harsh Pull card seem to count as kill, I experienced this when I used the Berserking Tantrum card instead of the Harsh Pull.

Until now it seems like the Harsh pull is just a dead card that blocks a card slot, nothing more.

Added to my testing list for my next round of tests. It has never happened to me before, but I haven't played since the latest update. I'll come here when I have tested it out.

    Update:

I realized that normal pull and dropping people with Darth Vader out of the level will most of the times not count as kill as well. It seems to be completely random.
You'll just get a "player damaged" and the battle point message for kill assist (not the actual kill assist message where you see the player's name!) and that's it.

No kill assist counting as kill, nothing. I think I noticed this also on other heros, but it's mainly Kylo Ren and Vader who just don't get the kill, even if you throw Vader's lightsword at the enemy before he falls out of the level. Very disappointing, especially Kylo's default pull originally got 10 dmg points because this happened in the past already and is supposed to score him a kill.

In conclusion: This issue from past versions is not fixed yet and will require a patch once more again, end of story.

And talking about the Harsh Pull damage increase, maybe the effect is active, maybe not. Impossible to see in a regular match. Will try a closed match with my friends to test this.

  • The only one who consistently won't get ledge kills is Vader with his Choke ability. Others will get it most of the time. The reason why sometimes fails to grant the kill is that they can touch something on they way down after you pull/push them so the game can't properly decide the exact reason why they fell off the map.

  • No Sir, that's not true. I also pulled people as Kylo Ren directly off ledges without them touching anything before and it didn't count as kill as well.
Play some HvH matches and test it.

    @TRlALON
You're right. Although @Szaby59 's assumption is a good one, I have already seen the opposite, so I ruled out this reason: I used choke hold on kessel, the enemy player didn't fall, but almost did. Then friendly kylo came and used Frenzy, which not only hit and damaged that enemy, but also pushed him a little that he dropped to the abyss. And I got the kill, but I didn't do anything to that enemy after the choke hold that failed to push off that very enemy, and he was damaged by an ally of mine after my skill, and before the enemy died, which should have taken the kill from me.

So the BUG that doesn't grant the kill when it should is still a mystery.

I didn't have time to do a round of tests yet, but I'll try to do tomorrow.

Another reason why sometimes you don't get the kill as Vader choking someone of the ledge is because players have enough time to respawn which doesn't give you the kill

@HomerSpinson  You mean they use the respawn button to commit a selfkill? Well, then like 80 % of all choked players would do that which seems very unlikely.

That'a stupid anyways, because in maps like Kamino it's possible to save yourself by using the WASD keys to maneuver your fall and land on one of the runways that are below you.

It's even possible to use the WASD keys as a brake (e.g. when Maul or Luke push you) so you don't get pushed that far towards the ledge and possibly be able to land on the last meter of the edge before you'd fall down.

Also, if you drop 3 people of the ledge and you get three BP messages for kill assist then they didn't made a selfkill.

  • 80% of players or more probably do and u know why? Because it gives u a quicker respawn time when u know you're going to die. Also people do it because sometimes people spam choking off the map etc and it doesn't give them the kill. Makes sense right. I've seen streamers and people I know do this
