Lack of Vader star cards in hero loot crate

Is the distribution of hero star cards in the hero loot crates generally even (albeit random)?

In the past 15 Hero loot crates I purchased I didn't get a single Vader star card.  In fact, I'm trying to remember if I got any of my Vader cards in a loot crate.

They can come in crates. I know I've gotten a couple.

That said, my account is level 40 and I did buy some crystals so I have opens a lot of crates.

The distribution of loot is almost completely even despite the hero crate being called a hero crate. I have almost every basic card for every one of the troopers, all the enforcer and aerial cards, armor cards, most of the cards for every hero and all my space ships are well over level 10 despite never playing spaceship battles. So even though they call the hero crate the hero crate you end up getting a little of everything.

I find it a little irritating that they don't at least give you the type of cards you want, but at least I have a well rounded collection I guess.

The loot crate item distribution is very wonky.

You really have no control over what you get out of the crates regardless of which type of crate you purchase.

In my experience, the best strategy to get what you want is to purchase hero crates just because they are the cheapest and then farm up the crafting points you need to straight purchase what you want, since there is almost no chance you'll luck into what you want.

Luckily for me, I'm interested in a pretty broad array of things. So the random distribution of items ended up giving me a little bit of everything for everything. I then used my crafting points to flesh out my focuses more.

I'm still a little annoyed with how many trash items there are... dozens of emotes for the troopers, 4 victory poses per unit... these are all just meant to absorb your rewards. But I'm to the point now that I have most of the trash so at least I get 200 credits for the duplicates now...

What I'm trying to figure out is whether I'm going to have to craft some of the common, uncommon, or rare cards rather than get them in a crate.  I have some epic cards I want to craft, but need 20 other cards to do so.

Pretty sure I've gotten some rare cards via the crates, but don't recall whether any of my Vader cards came via a crate.

    Level 40... 'Impressive. Most impressive."

    Thanks for the clarification.
