How to switch off Lightsaber
Press "2" key for the PC version.
If you are a xbox/ps4 player, press Y/triangle button. 😉

Yes, it is for the down ability. Probably, it means that they will not have the down ability. Still, I want to see the new additional ability for those heroes. May the 4th ability with you.
