Losing Games Because Of Quitters and AFK People

Can something be done about people who routinely quit games? In GA and SA 1 or 3 is ok we can handle it because some others will join in. The same with Strike or Blast. But with HVV it has become an epidemic. Some people quit as soon as the match starts. Do you know what it's like going from 4 v 4 to 4 v 2? Sometimes I'm the last man standing because the other person gets tired of being attacked by 4 enemies. In all of the Halo and maybe some Call of Duty games there are penalties for quitting matches. If a match is set up with a certain number of people and you chose to be one of those people you can't just quit and leave the whole team short-handed. That makes others want to quit. They don't want to have to work harder to make up for a missing person. And if it's more than one or two that's when things get really bad.

In Halo Reach if you quit matches a certain number of times you are banned for 10-15 minutes from multiplayer.  SWBFII Should have something like this. Every single day I'm playing HVV with quitters. I've gotten used to losing. Having a full team for the whole match is a rare thing.

What's worse than quitters is the stupid players who start the game and just stand there. I can't tell you how many times during HVV we had to try and protect some idiots who were the Target and they were AFK most of the match. They either left on their own or they were kicked for being idle. Those people are just as bad as quitters. Or during GA I would find a couple of people (sometimes 2 or 3) hiding out someplace not moving just standing there. They are AFK or they are afraid of being killed. I'm betting of AFK. NIce safe hiding spot.

If you are going to join a match then play the match to the end. You can leave after the match if over. If you don't want to play then turn off your Xbox. It's that simple. Don't get into a match and then decide you don't want to play.

EA, Dice, Motive, Microsoft whoever can fix this please stop quitters from ruining the game.

Agree with you. Sometimes the AFK is a program. I have seen a player, jumping occasionally and shooting occasionally but not playing.  These need to be reported to Origin EA so they can be stopped.

People leave for all kinds of reasons, including dinner calls or even disconnects when the phone rings. That would be impossible to fix, but there is a timer ruining for activity.

One way to fix your people leaving is to make friends and them enter the game by joining them, or invite them and go in together.  You will at least know who you are playing with and they will likely help you!.

    Hope this helps.

  • Yes this can be very frustrating. I do want to say however that I have read people having a weird bug where they leave a game to return to main menu and for some reason after a short while get transported into a random game. I myself suspect that I have experienced this as I once left it in the menu having just left a game went to make some food and when I came back found I was idling in a game of GA. Until things like that get fixed I'm not sure if they would be able to distinguish between the bugs and whether or not it would be fair to actually issue time bans for any of those sorts of things. While this game is so buggy you really have no idea why people have actually left a lobby however massively frustrating it may be. Even though all appears normal to you, they may have experienced a whole plethora of potential bugs that has meant they're not in the game, had to quit, just plain rage quit. My money is on the fact that if they fix the game to a decent level then the amount of times these situations happen will also be reduced.
