Yes, it seems as though, Disney's choice to release episodes based on an older timed schedule (as opposed to a more modern approach of uploading everything via binge format) stretched the lifespan & relevancy of the show.
Initially, I was upset that I wouldn't be able to watch it all in one sitting...But I understand that's because I may be somewhat spoiled by the luxuries I've enjoyed in the absence of (set) program / pacing...
In the end, I'm fairly satisfied with being granted the time to consolidate the Mandalorian show and it's contents/information.
Similarly, I wanted to give responses about the show at a slower pace. To respond rather than to react. (A part of why I'm choosing to talk about the show/s with others over forums instead of instant messenger apps.)
After the unexpected twists presented in the previous episode, I'm wondering how the season finale is going to wrap up...I don't even have any predictions for it...

@DvveeboI agree with everything you said. I'm glad Disney went with the traditional weekly episode format. It does let you enjoy it more, talk about it, and build anticipation for what is coming next. So much better than binging it day one, then having to wait a whole year for more lol.
I noticed Amazon switched Expanse to a weekly format starting this season. They aired the first 3 episodes day one with the rest coming out weekly. Seems they've noticed the benefit of stretching the content out longer. CBS All Access has been airing their Star Trek shows weekly as well.

Wow is all I have to say after that episode!
Soo cool! Also there is a scene after the credits. 😉

- 5 years ago@ToddyRocket1 yeah honestly the end credits made the rest of the episode kinda feel lame in comparison. (It was still really good though).

My only real thought is why didn't they bring ahsoka?
that just seems so obvious. Shes clearly the most powerful person he has met.
Granted that would have made the episode about 30 minutes shorter but still.
So. The book of boba fett. Im cool with another book but I feel that a show would obivously be much cooler considering how little he was actually used in this one. (besides the tragedy)
Or is it a show called the book of boba fett and i misunderstood?
EDIT: the internet is making it sound like a show so im gonna go with that. - 5 years ago
It also feels strange that they left the matter of the darksaber unresolved. It will be interesting to see what happens, although I don't really want Din leading Mandalore.
- 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266
Season 3 is already getting ready for production - 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266
The most powerful person he has met now is luke
I'm not a fan of Ashoka but she will have a part definitely in the next series - 5 years ago
@ToddyRocket1If they would have waited just a few hours luke would now be the ruler of mandalore considering he would have saved grogu anyway
The way he just crushed that one though. - 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266
Plus the end credits let's us delve deeper in the underworld scum in the Starwars universe
Remember this is in part bounty hunters and general people trying to fit in this galaxy - 5 years ago
Then he wouldn't be a jedi
Everyone has there own feelings and honour
That's where they fit in
Sith or jedi or a religion
Bounty hunters or generally fighting for ones own people
Money, greed and power
Everyone has their own perception of how it is
That's what makes it great
Plus I don't care what people say
The Grey order is watching. - 5 years ago@ToddyRocket1 I think her seriies, Mandalorian, and Rangers are supposed to be headed for a major event crossover. Now that they've proven they can do Luke in these series, I think he and Ahsoka have to meet in her series. That would be Star Wars gold.
- 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266 its not unresolved. Din now is the proper wielder lol. I suspected they were grooming Mando for the role.
Mando checks all the leadership boxes. He's got high moral standards, is humble and will do anything for those in his protection. Bo Katan and Death Watch are the "win at all cost" variety, and she still seems to have some of that in her.
We all wondered if Gideon defeated Bo Katan for it. I think the answer is yes. That's why Bo Katan wants it back so badly.
I can't get the normal reply to work on the forums somehow to tag this properly, so...
*** Clone Wars and Rebels spoilers ***
Bo Katan never actually won the Darksaber in combat. She was appointed regent after Siege of Mandalore without actually wielding the Darksaber. I think that's why she wants to face Gideon so badly. It was finally her shot to win it in combat.
Maul defeated Pre Viszla for the Darksaber.
In Rebels, Sabine Wren found it in Maul's lair.
Maul was never defeated in combat for it.
Ursa Wren even told Sabine she had no claim to it, so she gave it to Gar Saxon (the Empire's appointed governor of Mandalore) as a peace offering. Sabine won it back, defeating Gar Saxon.
Sabine gave it to Bo Katan since it never was her's by right of combat in the first place.
*** End Spoilers *** - 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266 I think Book of Boba Fett is likely a show too. A nice surprise they held back off the investor call.

Ah, I haven't actually been following where Mando might be streaming elsewhere/outside of D+, so this is good to hear. (The Star Trek stuff is a bit off topic, so I'll look into it on my own time, but that sounds great too. Last I saw of Star Trek stuff was a cartoon that seemed to take inspiration from Rick & Morty, so I should check to see what I'm missing out on currently.)
(*I was waiting to see who would answer Grogu's call)
You called it with the Deep Fake & with it being Luke, well done!
Maybe, they will be using Sebastian Stan for future footage which could focus more on Luke's time at the temple with his younglings? (Honestly, I thought Star Wars was done with DeepFakes after that whole thing with Leia ticked off a bunch of fans, lol. Plus, it doesn't seem plausible to make long session footage using DeepFake - it just doesn't look as realistic as a person's face, especially with mouth movements.)
This tie in is going to make Luke's eventual character destination all the more resonating & crushing... When we learn that Luke didn't just fail Kylo, he failed the ADORABLE GROGU. (& possibly more would-be Padawanz. But it's so much more dramatic when you know the characters that were involved. It's going to be heart breaking when they get to that point. All the more because it won't just be some word of mouth story you haven't seen. Being there as an observer along the way is going to hurt a lot more... )
But that's just one part of the general Star Wars adventure... Typically, the Force Sensitives' stories don't interest me as much as the standard civiz of the sci-fi.
'Going to be interesting to see what Din does when he returns to his armorer with the ruling symbol of Mandalore. - 5 years ago

trying to find Ezra.(?)Regardless of her power levels, she can't hang out with the Mando party right now. c:
When Disney released a bunch of title names for upcoming shows & Boba's wasn't on there; I felt betrayed.I'm still not sure if Boba is getting a book ... Or a show. (I'd be grumpy if he's getting a book, but I'd still read it. It would make sense if they don't want to do a show based on real life limitations.) - 5 years ago

The Grey order is watching.Lmao, yeah they're watching alright! So that the neutralists(?) can best predict how to avoid everyone else.
(Who knows, maybe the Dagoyan Order's home planet got blown up. )
But if you're being genuine, I agree with you. I don't care what people say, in a similar fashion.
People say (something along the lines of), "There are no aliens in the First Order"
But then...
1) No one in the First Order questions when a green alien Nikto is on a First Order ship - making engineering repairs (If they instead said something along the lines of; "Hey you, you're an alien & you're tampering with our ship, we don't associate with your kind, you're under arrest!" then their observable actions would provide evidence to the claim. But since they just sort of loiter and ask about repairs until they get put off from the conversation it suggests there are aliens working with/among/for the First Order.)
2) A blue female Nikto is implied to have been a spy for a higher up in the First Order.
3) The First Order had to kill a bunch of horned creatures who were spying on them for the Resistance - which implies they had been working with such entities in order to be spied on?
Stating things is easy. Backing up statements with observable evidence that reinforces the data... That's where loopholes emerge. - 5 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX She didn't have any problems accepting it the first time though. I wonder why its different now.
- 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266 I've seen a theory (Star Wars Explained I think) Bo Katan viewed it as a mistake. Clearly it didn't work out for her. Maybe the fact she didn't actually win the Darksaber by combat caused problems uniting the factions.
- 5 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX Obi wan killed maul
darth vader killed obi wan
palpatine killed vader
palpatines technically still alive.
if you think about it hes the true weilder.
(excuse my capatilization i dont care enough to fix it.) - 5 years ago
@DvveeboThanks! I guess it's easy to throw out theories when they seem too good to be true lol.
I'm not sure we have to worry about Grogu and Luke's academy. That's 20 years away. There's a good chance he's not even there. Given that he's already had a measure of training, he might be a full Jedi Knight, if not a Jedi Master...or something happens and he quits like Ashoka did. lol - 5 years ago@SwellingFoil266 lol true. But then...
Maul defeated Obi-Wan at least twice in Clone Wars
Ahsoka defeated Maul in Siege of Mandalore
Vader defeated Ahsoka in Rebels
Vader defeats Palpatine and becomes a force ghost.
Force ghost of Anakin Skywalker is Mandalore!!! lol
