@EA_Atic Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure that helps me figure out the issue. First, I am speaking of Battlefront 1, not 2. Is there a difference in mic settings for the two? And if it uses the default setting in windows, why is the mic working in windows but not in-game?

DICE Team@creolechowder its using the same for both games. My bad as I assumed it was about SWBF2 as you posted on the SWBF2 board.
If you go to Windows sounds settings is the correct mic set up as default mic?
