Mouse and keyboard not working

The game does not let me use a mouse and keyboard, gamepad works fine, and i can click the mouse 1 and 2 buttons and they do their thing, but i cant look around or use the keyboard at all. EDIT: I ...

    Alright, so this topic has been started too many times here, please do a search.

    Here is the solution for discord:

    Discord CAN be ON, but OVERLAY must be turned OFF.

    Go to Discord User settings > Overlay > Turn Off

    If you do not use Discord, other nonOrigin Overlays do interfere as well. Try turning those overlays off.

    If the reply is the solution to the problem, mark the topic as solved, so when somebody experiences the problem, they can see it has a solution.

I did try that and I noticed the same thing with my XBOX One controllers.

BUT I did discover something that might be the root cause and solved my issues. I noticed that my mouse was flaky if I plugged in something in the same USB block on my motherboard as the mouse (the mouse was on the lowest port, closest to the motherboard). That is, the mouse (and that other device) would become unstable and get disconnected and than re-detected randomly.

I moved my mouse to another USB port and all appear to be good now. I'm not sure how Origin and a flaky USB port could possibly be related or if was just a coincidence but things appear to be okay now. By the way, I discovered my issues after plugging in an XBOX One Wireless controller (I purchased 2 more today and was setting it up for a Steam game) and discovered the bad USB ports. Whew! 

So the moral of the story is, if you encounter flaky issues with either the keyboard and/or mouse, don't just swap out keyboard and mice... try also to use a different USB port. Wish I would have tried that sooner. ha :]

Hey people i had same problem with keyboard and mouse... tried everything and on end i find out it was just software TeamViewer was running in background and blocked my keyboard and mouse to work... just turn it off and everything will work perfect ! 🙂 

I hope this help many people with this problem 🙂

        Disabling the discord overlay did it for me 🙂
