Mouse gets stuck in game

Do you happen to have any other peripheral attached to your PC while this BUG is active? Getting your Mouse and Keyboard to act weirdly may be related to another peripheral attached to your PC, which your game is somehow reading as a controller. Whenever the game reads an attached controller, it can enter a bad state where you can't use your Mouse and Keyboard properly unless you unplug the peripheral (and probably reset the game as well). It happened a lot to me back when I played Galactic Assault and changed to a controller whenever I decided to play in a starship.

Try unplugging any other peripherals while starting the game and see if that helps. If not, or if it's not your case, virtual controllers/joysticks can also produce the same undesired effects, so if you happen to have any of these active, disable them and then try to play the game to see the result.

I don't think I have any other peripherals that could be read as a contoller, only my mouse and keyboard have been plugged in.  I have tried running the game with just a controller plugged in and it still produced the same effect.  You mentioned virtual controllers/joysticks, I don't know if I have any active but do you know where I might find them if they are active and I can disable them? I'm on windows.

ive had the same problem my name is Epiceotao06 but its a little different I can move my mouse and shoot. the only problem  is a can turn like its locked can someone contact me on Discord or on Origin . when I bought the game it worked but when I got back on the next day it started happening pls fix it . I think I wasted my money on this game 🤐

I have the same problem and battlefront 2 is the only game that does this when I start up the game one time the cursor dosnt even come up then I restart the game and the cursor comes up then when I get into a game the cursor wont leave the screen and I can barely move

Unfortunately I don't know. You may do a quick search on your Device Manager to check if any controller/gaming pad is attached. But then you said plugging in a controller didn't fix it either, so I don't know if that's the case. As you said you got rid of any overlays (and I assume you did that to origin ingame as well), I discarded these, but they are usually the culprit behind loss of control ingame.

Have you tried contacting EA Help directly?

OP said he disabled his gaming overlays, but have you guys done the same? Gaming overlays are known to mess with this game making you unable to use your Mouse&Keyboard in the game or menus. Discord's Gaming Overlay is by far the most common culprit to this, but Origin ingame is also sometimes to take blame. Check if you guys have any overlays active, and if so disable them and try to play the game. It should fix the issue.
