I have encountered this issue while playing in Co-Op mode on PlayStation 4. I was able to spawn as BB-8 only to find that another player had already spawned as BB-8 as well, and was further into the level, away from the Default Spawn Point, indicating that they had spawned as BB-8 several seconds before I did. The issue occurred on the MC85 Takodana level, during the 4th and final phase of Defense, while playing as the Resistance, after choosing Play Any at the Co-Op Missions Menu.
