What happens when the bug occurs? Players are taking a lot of hits (blasts or sabers) and recording little to no damage

Playing as various characters and the other team seemed to have a "super Buff" that was recording little to no damage. I came out of a couple of encounters using a blaster character (Finn/Versio) and unloaded a point blank into an opposing player's chest. They would kill me and it would record paltry damage (10-20). Not sure how many other are seeing this. I'm not exactly good but I know if I unload on someone point blank, they should take more than 20 damage.
