No Help from EA with error STAR WARS Battlefront II (0x8027025a)

i wrote this on FRIDAY  --- still no "REAL" help from EA

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug? 02/12/2018
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 11:00am
In what game mode did the bug occur? Galactic Assault
What is your time zone? EST (IET) - GMT - 5:30
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Puchase a Microsoft Xbox One Console, Xbox One S Console, XBox One X Console. Subscribe to fiber or coaxial Internet provider service. Plug in console to HDMI compatible LCD OLED TV. Unpack, setup console with Microsoft Wired or Wireless Controller, Purchase, download, install Star Wars Battlefront II Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition for Xbox Console. Create Xbox Live account, associate Xbox Live Account to a new EA account creating with the same email address. Utilizing that sole email address, configure Star Wars Battlefront II Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition for Xbox Console. 
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing. No Game Play, Does not load, defective, does not function, cannot read disc, ....
What do you expect to see? A working product, but that seems to be too much to ask for when purchasing a new Xbox One X at $ 499.99, Elite Controller $ 159.99 just for this SWBF2 Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition, $79.99 game

    Definitely not my ISP, but its solved, I returned it directly to Microsoft this morning. The specialist at the store took a mouthful of my frustration and anger, and returned my money today. There is no reason to invest money into a second console for one single game from EA!

    To clarify I have the physical DVD with my Internal Xbox One (2015). I have the EA Trail Digital Download on an external sata. I have the same, new physical with my Internal XBOX ONE X. 
    This error only happens with one game, one game out of the games I am playing or have played with my Xbox One (2015). The games I recently tried after seeing this error are Ubisoft "The Division" DVD version and Ubisoft's "For Honor" Digital Downloaded version. I have also played COD WWII DVD no issue, Ghost Recon Wildlands digital, no issues.
    I also have used several apps for streaming such as CBS, VUDU, CWTV, HBO, no errors there, except when congested from network traffic.

    I will take it to somewhere else if necessary, just to rule my ISP out,  clearly it is not my ISP. I will definitely give it a try, just to tighten the noose around what this is actually from.

  • Wow you got a response? I thought EA was just laughing in their cubicles, counting all the money, they steal from customers.

    Had the same problem on my Xbox one with SWBFII. Tried all as suggested by Xbox support, did one other thing - deleted my game save file on the xbox hdd only and let the game resync with the one the on Live. Never had the problem since.

    Sorry yes, I did try that as well, and that step did not work either, even though I didn't mention it. Besides, it is over now since I returned the XBOX ONE X directly to a Microsoft Store last week.

    Ok glad to see all settled. Have you had any further problems since update 1.2 came out? I have with GA but am waiting to see if anyone else posts the same problem before I start complaining.

    @ggibb65

    My advise is to:

    Highlight the game Star Wars Battlefront II, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage Game. 

    In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and delete profile and saved game data 4Gb
    Sign out of XBox, and restart. This should solve the issue.


    This worked for me, day one .. I mean the day the Patch 1.2 February 19th 2018

    Thanks again but have tried all that. I have a theory why it is happening which I am about to post on same topic in Technical Issues. You might want to view it and make a comment. As I said it will only be a theory.
