Hey,
I´m having the same high pitched noise when loading into any game mode in Battlefront 2.
I already returned the first PS4 Pro I bought, but the issue is the same on the replacement.
Thought it was the hard drive, but after replacing it with an ssd the sound was still there.
The only other moving parts are the fans.
So did anyone find a solution or even an explanation?
Hey, the noise you're hearing is called 'capacitator squeal'. Whilst it doesn't always mean anything, in this case it is bad. It is caused the game not having a frame cap in the loading screens. It also happens on PC. For instance, on my pc I'm seeing fps as high as 2000-3000fps in loading screens, which WILL kill graphics cards in the long run. Exactly the same problem happened to me a few years ago while playing the old sims 3 on a new system, so believe me, I know what i'm talking about. On PC i installed rtss to cap my fps at 120 and voila problem solved. However i'm not sure if you can do anything about this on console. If they don't solve/notice this problem real soon, I predict this game will kill a great many systems of unexpecting customers in the next few weeks.
