Not able to sprint as a Hero
Product: Star Wars Battlefront II Platform:PC What is your issue related to? General Summarize your bug Not being able to sprint. What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? MrFa1nt How often ...
I'll copy my answer on the other report as I promised I'd bring it here (https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Sprint-bug/m-p/8047624/highlight/false#M24453):
Ok so I finally found them:
It's hard to show a BUG where a command isn't processed because we can't show the buttons being pushed. However, as I stated before, double tapping the forward button (or double tapping up in the analog stick for consoles) automatically puts you in sprint mode, but when you're affected by the sprint BUG you enter this weird movement effect where you retrigger the beginning of the walking animation for each time you tap the forward button again. You can see I was "walking" (I was actually using the shift button to sprint to no avail), and then I started to tap the button and this visual effect took place.
I also managed to do this on another match:
In this same match I died and respawned as another character, and the BUG persisted:
Unfortunately I didn't find any recording of this BUG persisting between matches, but I remember this was a thing. As this is a very rare BUG, at least to me, I have no idea what triggers it, nor any method to stop the BUG from affecting you.
I have a sprint bug as Grievous sometimes.
With the difference that there are no weird run/walk animation fragments, the sprint animation and function just doesn't commence at all.
Even after getting killed and respawning, I'm still unable to sprint as Grievous then.
@TRlALON
This is exactly the BUG I mentioned above, glad I'm not the only one who spotted it. The weird animation you can see in my gifs is tapping the forward button while being affected by that BUG. If you're not with this BUG, tapping the forward button makes you sprint, so this is the best way I can show this BUG graphically, because simply walking isn't much of a proof by itself. I'd have to discover a way to record my keyboard pressing keys and even then this isn't as strong evidence as showing this quirk which is only possible if the BUG is active.
And yes, it remains as you respawn, even if you respawn as a different character.
But tell me, you said it's somewhat common with Grievous for you, do you have any idea what might be involved in causing this issue with him? Some pattern? I still have no clue how this BUG happens, and it's so rare to me, I think it doesn't happen to me for half a year already.
