Nvidia Display driver crashes constantly.I get a black screen with the windows sound like you disconnect a device every time I try and play the game. It recovers most times with no other error message.I am Running GTX 1080 on latest driver 388.13 on the latest windows 10 with the fall creators update.Things I have tried:Completely uninstalling display driver and re-installing itUsing the DDU uninstaller in safemode and re-installing driverDisabling all other programs and overlays (origin, discord)Disabling other monitors and using only the primary screen.Disabling G-SyncChanging from Full screen to full screen borderlessDisabling the windows 10 full screen performance booster.

I seem to have the same issue. I played for about 30 minutes and the game just froze and crashed to desktop with no errors. Similar to you, I'm using 388.13 with a GTX 1060 on Fall Creator's update. Working well for me.Did you leave the default video settings at their defaults? The game seemed to recognize the card and set everything to max for me, so I didn't have to muck with anything.Related, there was an issue with DirectX 12, so I'd leave that off for now.As you seem to be up on your tech, I'm guessing you've already run stress tests outside the game to ensure all your tech (CPU, GPU, memory, storage) isn't having any issues.

Hmm. I randomly got the game to run for about 45 min straight yesterday without really doing anything different. But then it crashed the driver again between rounds. Every other game runs fine (BF1 for example) just this one seems to cause issues. I'll look into stressing my system again but I'm leaning towards driver/game issues. I've tried DX12 but that doesn't seem to help either. Every other setting was left as default (ultra) I may try and turn them down and see if that does anything. Thanks for your reply

Looks to be a similar issue. I hope a new driver will fix it permanently. I seem to have gotten my game to at least run for a good while by lowering some graphics settings and running the game as an administrator. But when I am back in the menu's it still randomly will blackscreen.

Similar to you, I'm using 388.13 with a GTX 1060 on Fall Creator's update. Working well for me.
Did you leave the default video settings at their defaults? The game seemed to recognize the card and set everything to max for me, so I didn't have to muck with anything.

No improvement unfortunately. I have found a temporary fix that seems to limit the crashes by disabling all overlays including geforce experience, running the game as admin and lowering post processing and aa. Running in windowed mode also seems to help

Technically, it says the 14th but it came out on the 15th :P, also after managing to get it installed correctly (clean install). The game has started randomly black screen, sound fades out and crash..
I've run the game repair a few times, and the black screens still happen. Maybe I will do the documents folder move and then repair again - official release is hours away, get ready to see the floodgates unleashed :P

Could be the issue I'm having. Using Nvidia drivers too. I am finding the game incredibly unstable, weirdly played Beta and all other sneak peaks at the game without issue.
But with the retail release of the game I crash.....
1) Whenever first playing a map I've not played before in Galactic Assault mode.
2) Occasionally when I die.
3) Some times randomly on spawn.
4) When spawning as a Special Class (Wookiee for example).
5) In the menus customising my kit, yeah, when not even in game.
6) Most annoyingly, in Single Player whenever I have to play her droid's segments, crashes me at some point in it's sequence without fail. Which makes that pretty much unplayable.
I hadn't noticed just how bad it is until tonight as I'd been playing mostly Starfighter Assault which appears to be really stable as I've not had any issues with it. But tonight on playing Galactic Assault I had in total one round that I did not crash out of. Which is just ridiculous. It is shameful to release a game in such a shoddy buggy state. If it is a driver incompatibility issue or something they'd best get on it sharpish.
I've not tried any fixes my end as I'm pretty sure it is a driver issue. Anyhow my specs are as follows:
Intel Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
32GB (RAM)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 GPU
Windows 8
Oh, and am on 388.13 too, so will try the latest Driver now and see how we do.
