Have you solved the issue? I've never seen this happening in any mode, singleplayer or multiplayer. But I know there are people who know how to get out of bounds on this mission with Luke and if they get out of the mapped terrain, they'll fall endlessly (until a invisible web catches you in the very bottom of the map, but keeps you in falling animation). All maps are built above this huge pit, but no one is supposed to access this area.
If it happened to you every single time you played, then it's a serious BUG indeed.
