@SwellingFoil266. that will probably be years before.

Star Wars Battlefront: 2, is 100% dead.

for example the. Star Wars Battlefront: 2015.

you can still play and find people on it.

but unfortunately most of the time, it just the base game, maps and mods.

but it still alive, which is the important part.

unless EA, lose the Star Wars License.

and whoever is the new owner, and will not work with EA.

yes i can see, the servers will die.

  • @MichaelDK I don't think that we will need to worry about the servers. Battlefield 3 still has servers up and that came out in 2011. Battlefront 2 is really the only option to have an experience like this for us SW fans so I think that the community will keep it alive for many years.
  • I think, in the event that the online servers eventually shut down, that XP should be awarded in Instant Action and Instant Action Missions.

I think the servers will be up for a long time.  PS4 games and Xbox One games will be backward compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X.  The PS4 community in particular is strong, so I would expect the main modes like Supremacy and Co-op to remain populated for years to come.  As a prime example, on PS4 its easy to find Battlefield 4 games despite the fact it's over 6 years old.  Battlefield 4 is very unique in the series as it's the last modern warfare game, and last game with a ton of vehicles.  As long as Battlefront 2 is the last Battlefront, it will be well populated on PS4 at least.

All that said, it's a good idea to transition as much as possible to offline modes.  That should include leveling up.  Why not?  Most of the levels are just numbers on a gold badge until you see "MAX" lol
