OP Rocket Troopers

Rocket troopers, ridiculously OPd.

I will personally leave a game that has a group of rocket trooper players because they’re almost impossible to kill with how fast they move and they get 4 or 5 kills to every one of the opposite teams. I’ve seen scores of rocket trooper players in the 40s and 50s while other players in blast are mostly single digits. EA, you need to fix this! And if they’re hacking, it’s even more insufferable because they’re making shots that are virtually impossible!

1 - take away their rocket dodge maneuverability, make them roll at most twice like the ground troops.

2 - extend the waiting period of the rocket pack recharge

3 - their blaster rifle or their bazooka, one has to go. If they keep the bazooka, give them a low powered blaster. If they keep the high powered blaster rifle, take away the bazooka and give them something else such as enemy location darts that temporarily give locations to team mates

Get rid of the OPd rocket troopers!

  • Some would argue there are multiple characters that are OP. Different people have different opinions obviously.

It is highly unlikely any tweaks will be made to the characters at this point in the game's lifecycle - i.e. no updates for over a year.

  • @thelostsaria1 Oh yeah, they’re broken and Darth DFG is right; nobody’s coming to fix them sadly.

I see a lot of hacking complaints from PC players but that’s only part of the shenanigans with these aerial characters.

A common trick players will use is what’s referred to as the “Finn glitch”. I won’t go into detail how to do it because I don’t agree with it AT ALL but suffice to say what players will do is get a Finn into the match and manipulate his Big Deal ability to “stack” for his teammates.

This allows the teammates major damage reduction while Finn is alive. Rocket aerials and other enforcers will take advantage of this to push up on their opponents while taking much less damage and being able to keep up their Heath regen. This makes the light side aerial faction SUPER broken if used.

Worst part is this isn’t some add on PC only hack; it’s do-able on any platform as it’s a bug that’s built into the game.

  • @VetteC5RX I tell ya, I suspected that glitch happening in a match of GA Tatooine, when rebels basically became unkillable with shields displaying everytime you hit them for a long period of shooting at the same enemy.
